Last Saturday, we gathered at Alila Shanghai to celebrate Nordic Match’s 8th anniversary with our annual Summer Party. It was wonderful to see so many friends and partners — from Asian and European companies and chambers of commerce — come together for an afternoon of great conversations and new connections. Thank you all for being part of it.

As a cross-border M&A advisory firm connecting Europe and Asia, we were proud to witness the energy and collaboration that continue to define our work. The event also gave us a chance to reflect on the changing M&A landscape in China. Deal activity has clearly picked up — from multinationals rethinking their China strategies to Chinese companies looking abroad. More importantly, we’re seeing a shift in focus. Many international companies are now looking to China not just for market access, but for innovation. Sectors like AI, NEVs, industrial automation, healthcare and green technologies are attracting more attention than ever.

In a world full of uncertainty, one thing hasn’t changed: the value of meaningful partnerships. We believe the future of M&A will be shaped by trust, collaboration, and a deep understanding of both local and global dynamics.
